Amazon.com Product Description
Cruise down your favorite snow hills in style with the Pelican Space Snow scooter. The scooter offers a snowboard-style base, but ups the ante with a hinged handle that gives you extra control. Think of it as a cross between a snowboard and a Razor. The non-skid foot pads, meanwhile, give you plenty of extra traction during a run. The snow scooter--which includes colorful in-mold graphics--offers a capacity of 110 pounds and measures 37.25 inches long. The board is suitable for ages 6 and older.

5 out of 5 stars Space Scooter   July 8, 2010
C. Vogt (Chicago, IL)
This is a great snow scooter for kids 6-8 years old who are just beginning to use a snow board. It held up great for 2 seasons until he outgrew it. Still in great shape to pass along to another child.

4 out of 5 stars Great Product, BAD PACKAGING!!!   February 6, 2010
R. Saffran
Bought this for my grandson and he loves it.

It is a great product although somewhat expensive for what you get. My big complaint was the packaging. This item was shipped in a box many times bigger than the actual item. There was no inner packing, just the product only inside the carton. The item rattled around in the box and was scratched up a bit. I'm surprised it got to us in one piece. Amazon had a section where one could actually comment on the packaging. I did render a comment but nver got a reply.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome -- tons of fun for kids and grownups!   December 23, 2009
Karen Nicholson-McFadden (NJ)
My 10 year old son got this for Christmas 2 years ago and hasn't stopped having fun with it! His younger sister has been proficient on it since she was 5 years old. We got 15 inches of snow in the big storm that hit the northeast this past weekend -- my son commented yesterday that every time he goes sledding at least one kids asks to borrow his board because it is so cool! I must say it is very durable as well. This is our 3rd winter with it and it shows almost no wear.

4 out of 5 stars Great Fun, But NOT a Real Snowboard   December 31, 2008

I think the above reviewer may have had too-high expectations for the Space Scooter. We've been using it in the backyard since Christmas, and my kids LOVE it. My wife and I can even use it, and it's possible to carve real turns with the Space Scooter. SO, if you're looking for something to take to Lake Tahoe, buy something better. But for fun on the neighborhood sledding hill, this thing rules.

1 out of 5 stars Hawaii Snow!   May 21, 2008

I wish I had good things to say because the idea is fabulous. Unfortunately, as least on the snow on the top of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii AND at Heavenly at Lake Tahoe the kids all told me it was too tough to control. All pain, no fun.... Aloha!
