The Lucky Bums Beginner Snowboard for Kid's is a great choice to introduce little groms to snowboarding in the back yard or on the nearby sledding hill. I purchased this for my 7 year old son. I think it lives up to everything they promised with the improvements made. For our backyard use, it's perfect!

5 out of 5 stars Snowboards Redesigned & Improved for 2009/2010 Season   November 25, 2009

As the President of Lucky Bums, I can promise potential customers that we took in all the feedback on our plastic snowboards from last season and vastly improved the board for this season (2009/2010). The board has upgraded bindings, has a more modern snowboard cut, and we replaced the honeycomb bottom with a smooth bottom so it is by no means a dud on the hill. Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming, and enjoy the snow!

1 out of 5 stars It does not go down hill and the foot straps are too hard for an 8 yr old   February 1, 2009

The title says it all. In my opinion a waste of money. I even took my son to a very steep hill and he could not get any momentum to go down the hill. The honeycomb bottom prevents the board from getting any speed.

He does not have the finger strength to work the boot release mechanism.

2 out of 5 stars not that great   January 17, 2009
S. Maloney (Salt Lake City, UT)
Purchased this as a Christmas present for my 8 year old son. The plastic button which held the strap in place around the left heel popped off on the first run; the right popped off on the 5th run. On our next time out, the snowboard didn't even go down the hill. I thought it was due to the type of snow we had received, so I got some snowboard wax specific for the type of snow, applied it but that didn't help at all. My son has lost interest in this apparatus, luckily he still wants to take some lessons.

1 out of 5 stars Received Broken!! Waste of money   January 7, 2009

The snowboard binding was broken when I received it. It was packed very well so I assume it must have been broken when they sent it. I had to pay for shipping twice because I had to send it back. The return process went well though.
